Skin bleaching is done by many people especially women for skin care. There are many skin whitening products have been circulating in many stores. However, how do I choose a good beauty products and safe for the skin?

How To Skin Whitening

Interested in skin whitening solutions that are both safe and effective? Your kitchen or pantry may have the solution for you! Home remedies have truly come into their own in modern society, and some methods have even been recognized by the scientific community. Inexpensive, safe and potentially effective, home remedies for skin whitening/bleaching may be your best option towards getting the skin that you have always wanted.

Before we get into the natural home remedies, let's take a look at some of the other alternatives for skin whitening. Laser treatment is currently the most advanced and most effective way to lighten the skin. The procedure uses specialized equipment that trains a beam of laser directly on the skin. The results of this procedure can be remarkably apparent, and it is in fact the closest thing to an instant solution for skin whitening/bleaching today.

Laser treatment does have some drawbacks though. It is by far the most expensive way to make your skin lighter. Being a cosmetic procedure and not a health related one, it is doubtful that any insurance program would cover even part of the costs of laser treatment. If you do decide to go for this procedure, you will likely have to pay out of the pocket for it to the tune of a few thousand dollars.

Another option is chemical bleaching. This is a lot cheaper than laser treatment and the results are often favorable. You can either have the procedure done in a specialized clinic, or at home using a combination of over-the-counter and prescription solutions. The clinic will obviously be more expensive, but you do have the advantage of not having to worry about buying the wrong product and a staff who presumably know what they're doing. When you do it at home, you will mostly be going by the directions that come with the package, although these are generally pretty easy to use.

As for the natural solutions, there are probably even more options available than in the chemical realm. Papaya is always a good option, and its effects have been well known for thousands of years in more than a few Asian countries. Making a paste out of mashed papaya is the easiest way to get the benefits, and they can be significant. You can also use a papaya soap, of which there are many different brands on the market.

While papaya can lighten skin surprisingly well, it does have a distinct drawback: it dries out the skin. If you want to get around this, all you have to do is apply a moisturizing lotion to the skin after your bath.

Vitamin A and vitamin C have also been reported to cause a noticeable lightening of the skin. You may also get a similar effect from using licorice based solutions that you can find in health food stores and similar establishments that offer natural products. Like papaya, licorice has also been used for thousands of years in many part of Asia, where its skin whitening/bleaching effects are well known.
